Captioning with Otter.ai
Because spatial.chat is a new and experimental platform, captioning is supported through a separate website. Follow the directions below to access captioning for the event. You don't have to download a new app, but you will need another tab open in your browser. Reach out to [email protected] if extra assistance is needed.

2. Once signed in navigate to the record button on the top right portion of the page. Unplug any headphones from your computer so the ai can listen to the words it needs to transcribe.

3. Press the blue "record" button. Once you press this button your computer will be listening to your speakers. If you don't see transcriptions, double check that headphones are unplugged and try turning the volume of your device up. Your screen should look like the image below.
4. To pause transcriptions, press the button on the bottom of the screen that has two parallel lines. To stop transcribing, press the button with the square. You will have the option to save the captions as notes.
5. Otter.ai has a time limit per note. It's best to stop transcribing and start a new note every time you enter a new room.
